The Fighter Factory, located down the runway from the Military Aviation Museum, is responsible for restoring and maintaining the historical aircraft on display in the museum hangars which are opened daily 9-5 except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Fighter Factory is not normally open to the general public but does on occasion allow visits during normal weekday working hours. It is suggested that you telephone before your anticipated arrival.
Feel free to explore and read about these fighter planes of World War I and World War II on the museum website. Many aircraft have been fully restored to their original condition and are available for flight demonstrations, static displays, or movie production. Some aircraft are in the process of restoration and many vintage planes have yet to be discovered!
If you are aware of any World War II aircraft crash sites, feel free to contact the Fighter Factory with this information and help us in our efforts to preserve this part of aviation history. The Fighter Factory would like to recover and restore these World War II aircraft before they become permanently lost.
A lot of work goes into recovering and restoring these beautiful aircraft. Our aircraft that are in the restoration process will be highlighted so don't forget to bookmark the Fighter Factory!
